Summer Artist Workshops August 2021.

I have been doing several workshops this summer. I find that learning a new technique very interesting and can be useful for future paintings. In June I did a gelli printing workshop it was great fun and although I had done this before in a broader mixed media workshop I learned some new tricks. I will use the gelli prints I made as collage for future paintings. As they are at the moment they don’t look very interesting, but they will be transformed when I start working again.

This week I am doing a fiber fusion workshop. I am looking forward to learning how to infuse fiber fabrics into my paintings. I do use a collage of glass beads and some fabric in my work at the moment but I think this workshop will help me be bolder and I am sure I will learn some new tricks.
